How to Move a Saved Product from One Spreadsheet to Another

Keep the original marketplace or album URL before you copy anything into a new OOTDBuy list. Then check the product, selected option, photos, measurements and likely weight again.

Keep these details

Copy the original Taobao, Weidian, 1688 or Yupoo URL, not only the converted agent link. Save the item ID, selected color or version and the date you checked it. Treat the row as new until the current page, option, photos and measurements agree.

The old spreadsheet is only where you found the item

The name of the old sheet does not prove that a converted page still contains the same listing, option or price. What matters is the original marketplace or album page and the product details that can still be checked.

Keep three things separate: the spreadsheet where you found the row, the original source page and the agent-facing page that displays or imports it. They may all point in the same direction, but they are not the same page.

If the original source is gone

Do not copy the old price, photos or product claims into a new sheet as if they were current.

Do not copy login details, payment information, addresses, order numbers, private messages or support screenshots into a product sheet.

Check the old row before you move it

Open the old row and the original source side by side. Make sure the product name, color, size or version and one distinctive photo still agree. If the old row opens only a converted page, look for the original source link or item ID before moving on.

Move the row in six steps

  1. Open the old row without buying anything. Write down the title, product type, selected option and why you saved it.
  2. Recover the original source. Prefer the direct Taobao, Weidian, 1688 or Yupoo page. If only a converted page remains, look for a source link or item ID.
  3. Save a few stable clues. Keep the domain, item or album ID, option name, one distinctive detail and the date.
  4. Open the source again. Paste the original link or search the item ID on Findsindex. A similar thumbnail is not enough.
  5. Check the row from the beginning. Use the five-minute row check, photo guide, measurement guide and weight guide where needed.
  6. Write a new note. Keep, compare or close the row based on what the current page shows. Keep the old note only as history.

A short transfer note

Source: domain + item ID · Option: color/size/version · Matched: title + one photo detail · Still missing: one important check · Checked: date.

A similar-looking page may still be a different item

Titles are copied, translated and shortened. Images can also be reused. Use details that are harder to confuse: the source domain, item ID, exact option name, measurement chart and distinctive product features.

A useful matchNot enough on its own
Same source domain and item IDA similar title
Same selected color, size or versionThe same first photo
Same measurement chart and option labelsA close price
Same distinctive product detailsA converted link that opens successfully

A recent filename does not make every row current

A sheet may have this year in its title while individual product pages are much older. Write the checked date beside the row you care about.

  • Confirm that the final destination still shows the same item.
  • Check the selected option, displayed price and size information again.
  • Mark any replacement page as unconfirmed until the product details match.
  • Remove old screenshots and prices that no longer describe the current page.

When the original link is missing

Search the exact item ID, album title or a distinctive model phrase on the relevant source platform. Reverse image search may find visually similar pages, but appearance alone cannot establish the same seller, material, measurements or variant. Read the source-link guide before treating a replacement as equivalent.

If no stable identifier survives, label the row “source missing” and restart discovery. It is better to lose one shortcut than to build a new decision on an unrelated page.

Keep account and order data out of product notes

  • Never copy usernames, passwords, verification codes or payment details into a spreadsheet.
  • Do not publish order IDs, shipping addresses, private chat screenshots or tracking numbers.
  • Check the final domain before entering credentials after any redirect.
  • Use the relevant service’s current official process for account, payment, order and support actions.
  • Keep product photos and measurements separate from private account records.
A safe note contains

The source, selected option, useful product details, what is still missing and the date—nothing from your private account.

Restart from the original source

Paste a product name, stable identifier or source URL. Findsindex opens in a new tab; verify the destination yourself.
