Red-flag guide

OOTDBuy Spreadsheet Buyer Safety Notes

Good browsing lowers avoidable uncertainty. It does not make third-party products, sellers, payments, shipping or policies risk-free.

Know the limits first

This site is not an official OOTDBuy support page, so it cannot verify orders, sellers, coupons, refunds, payments or shipping claims. To judge a spreadsheet row more safely, check photos, sizing, link relevance, price context, shipping weight and recent user feedback.

Do not trust hype alone

Words such as “must buy,” “best,” “limited” or “perfect” do not describe a measurable property. Replace each claim with a question: Which photo supports it? Which measurement matters? What does the source page show now?

Photos should answer questions

Good QC photos are useful because they cover the selected item from relevant angles. They are not a guarantee of material, durability or future fulfillment. Check that the option in the images matches the option in the row and destination page.

Sizing matters more than popularity

A frequently shared clothing row can still be a poor fit. Compare actual measurements with an item you own and check units, measuring method and intended fit. For shoes, look for foot-length guidance and the exact size system.

Price needs context

A very low displayed price can refer to a minor accessory, deposit, smallest option or changed listing. Select the intended variant before comparing. A high price also does not prove better materials or service.

Shipping weight changes the real decision

Heavy or bulky items can reverse a price comparison. Use the shipping weight guide to separate item, packed and volumetric estimates, then confirm current information through the responsible channel.

External links need checking

  • Read the destination domain before entering any account details.
  • Confirm the title, images and selected option still match the spreadsheet row.
  • Do not reuse passwords across third-party platforms.
  • Never send payment or identity information through an unverified chat or form.
  • Use official account, payment, refund and tracking channels for those actions.

Red flags worth removing

Wrong destination

The link opens a different product, an empty shop, an unrelated login page or a shortened destination you cannot explain.

Details do not match

The row names one option while photos, size chart or price belong to another.

Pressure without detail

Urgency, a coupon claim or a popularity label replaces current product information.

Sensitive-data request

A page or person asks for passwords, verification codes, full payment details or documents without a clear official process.

Impossible certainty

The row guarantees quality, delivery, refunds or customs outcomes that depend on other parties.

No reason to save

You cannot explain what the row shows better than nearby alternatives.
