Pre-save decision tool

OOTDBuy Spreadsheet Checklist Before Saving a Find

A row should answer enough questions to deserve more time. Tick what you can prove from the row and linked page—not what you hope is true.

The short version

Use seven checks: category, useful photos, sizing, comparable price, shipping weight, clear wording and a reason to save. Six or seven checks indicate a stronger shortlist candidate; fewer checks mean more research or removal.

Seven-point checklist

This checklist runs only in your browser. It does not submit or store selections.

Score your row

6–7Strong shortlist candidate
4–5Research more
2–3Weak row
0–1Remove for now

The score organizes attention; it does not certify a product or seller. A serious mismatch—wrong destination, missing option or unsafe claim—can outweigh several easy checks.

QC photos by category

Shoes & sneakers

Look for both sides, top, heel, outsole, toe shape, interior size tag and any construction detail you are comparing.

Hoodies, shirts & jackets

Use flat measurements, front and back views, close-ups of prints or embroidery, fabric texture, cuffs and closures.

Bags & accessories

Ask for scale, dimensions, interior, hardware, straps, seams, hinges or closures—not only a polished front view.

Watches & jewelry

Check dimensions, finish, clasp or closure, dial or surface detail and whether the selected version matches the photos.

Good row example

Example: “Charcoal zip hoodie, size chart in centimeters, chest and length measured flat, front/back/detail photos, material note, approximate item weight, current Weidian product page.”

This does not guarantee quality, but it gives you enough information to compare the option, photos, size and weight with other hoodies.

One-sentence save rule

Save a row only when you can finish this sentence: “This belongs on my shortlist because it shows ___ more clearly than the alternatives.” If the blank contains only popularity, urgency or a vague quality label, the row has not earned the space.

What to do next

If the category is still unclear, use the category guide. If packed size or weight could change the decision, read the shipping weight guide. Remove rows with obvious red flags using the buyer safety notes.
